Pilates
We are an old school boutique Pilates studio where we focus on individually tailored Pilates sessions using appropriate Pilates equipment and/or mat exercises to achieve the desired outcomes. We are here for YOU, to help YOU to feel comfortable and strong in your body.
In our studio we have various pieces of Pilates equipment – reformers, cadillac, wunda chairs, small barrels, ladder barrel, balls, bands, weights, Yamuna wakers and the list goes on.
One starts off with a private initial consult where the teacher can assess your posture, your strengths and ascertain any goals you have in mind to start working towards. After that most people book into a regular time-slot each week or simply book week by week as your diary, and ours, allows.
We offer private sessions, duets with a friend or small groups of up to 3 people all being guided according to their needs.
All our teachers are fully certified through some of the foremost teacher training schools in the world – Polestar, Body Arts and Science, PITC, STOTT, APMA and have many years of experience in rehabilitation and physical training behind them. We are very happy to work with referring health professionals to help achieve the best results for you. Finding a regular pattern for your exercise assures long term gains and improvement.
Bookings
All bookings are made by appointment via email or phone, or in person at the studio.
Cancellation
In consideration of other participants on our waiting lists there is a 24 hour cancellation policy.



Foot Fitness
Foot Fitness is crucial to our health and wellbeing.... How many of us neglect or take our feet for granted?
Yamuna Foot Fitness helps to increase space and musculature within the feet, giving a multitude of benefits to your posture and alignment. Stimulation of muscles, organs and bones creates greater body awareness as well as relaxing the nervous system and increasing metabolism. Foot Fitness is a fabulous way to enhance any movement program and is also a fantastic place to start if painful feet are preventing you from moving.
Katrina conducts on one one foot assessments based on the Yamuna foot fitness system (Yamuna Body rolling USA) and guides you through exercises to assist you have pain free fabulous feet.

Attending Pilates at Ingrid Shaw Pilates and Gyrotonic has significantly improved my strength and reduced my back pain. After surgery to remove rods from my back, I struggled with pain due to weakness. I have been a client at Ingrid's studio for over 10 years, the studio is immaculate and a lovely space to work out in. I have always found Ingrid to be extremely knowledgeable and caring as are her other instructors. I do both Pilates and Gyrotonic, love them both though Gyro is my absolute fav! I have had some major issues with my body including a foot reconstruction and a bilateral knee replacement. The care and rehabilitation I have received at Ingrid's studio has been second to none. A couple of years ago I convinced my partner to also attend and now we do a session together. I have also done some of the excellent workshops that have been held in the studio.
We have also been away on some incredible walks that Ingrid has organised with other students doing Pilates before and after our long walks. There is great a sense of community which I feel we are all looking for at this time. I can't recommend Ingrid's Studio highly enough.

I have attended this studio for several years now and at the age of 75 I find it a very friendly welcoming space. The instructors are all excellent. They are pleasant, knowledgeable and experienced and are therefore well equipped to address the many specific issues that clients may have. As a result, I like to say that my body has been renovated. My flexibility, strength, coordination, posture and balance have all been greatly improved by doing both Pilates and Gyrotonic there. The studio itself is a lovely airy room on the upper floor of a building set in a park. Always a lovely experience to go there!
